Animal Reiki Healer FAQ's
ANIMAL REIKI HEALER FAQ'S

What is Reiki?

Reiki is an ancient hands-on healing practice, a form of spiritual healing using universal life energy channeled through the practitioner to the recipient. Reiki helps to harmonize body, mind and spirit and is therefore a magnificent tool for any ailment. Reiki can be used as hands-on healing but can also be beamed from a distance, which is helpful when the animal may be reluctant to physical touch.

When can Reiki be used?

All the time! Reiki can be used in all aspects of our lives. It helps to alleviate pain in the body, balances the body’s energies, ease stress and tension and raise our energy vibrations. Reiki can also be used in various challenging situations such as when a new pet moves in and the other pets may feel threatened by the newcomer. Reiki can assist the old animals in reaching acceptance of the new family member and the newcomer to adapt to its new home. Since Reiki works just as well on an emotional level as well as a physical one it is a great tool to ease separation anxiety, fear of humans/other animals, lack of joy and various other upsets needing attention. When feelings are repressed there is a risk that these emotions manifests as disease in the physical body. Reiki helps to bring these repressed emotions to the surface for healing.

Who benefits from Reiki?

Everyone! Since Reiki is pure energy it works with all living beings such as humans, animals, plants and other living entities.

My animal is fine does it still need Reiki?

In my experience, Reiki works best as preventative care since it also strengthens our immune system and treats symptoms and causes of disease. When Reiki is continuously given it prevents disease from actually manifesting in the body and I look at it as an investment for a healthy future. Reiki should not be used as a substitute to veterinarian care instead it compliments it.

Who am I?

My name is Agnetha and I became an Animal Reiki Healer in 2003 when my rabbit, Bobban, was diagnosed with cancer and I was told there was nothing that could be done. Turns out there were Reiki! Combining Reiki with my love for animals has truly been a life changing experience for me as well as the animals around me. I feel privileged to have been able to take part in many animals’ (and their people’s!) path to recovery.
