"I do not believe in miracles, I rely on them.."
My Story..I was introduced to Reiki healing when my first rabbit, Bobban, was diagnosed with cancer in the summer of 2003. The cancer had spread to her lungs and according to her veterinarian; there was nothing that could be done to save her life. In that moment even though I was overcome by grief, and paralyzed with fear, an unknown strength and knowledge within me made itself known and took charge. I had an inner conviction that something could be done; all I had to do was search for it.
This quest for healing brought me to Reiki. After my first attunement to this powerful and divine energy, Bobban and I submersed ourselves to a journey of health and wellness. Bobban’s tumors stopped growing and she lived for an additional 13 months before she committed to crossing over. At that moment, I knew our work together for this lifetime had come to an end and I felt at peace with letting her go.
There lies tremendous power in healing yourself and those around you, in taking charge of your own healing process versus relying on someone else’s expertise and help. The power of choice enables you to reclaim your life. After Bobban’s and my healing journey had ended I knew that Reiki was too special to leave behind and I truly believe that Bobban got sick to get me started on healing work with animals. I continued my healing training and I completed my Master/Teaching Level in 2006. It is now time to take my wisdom and love out in the world.
